Please note: this is a complete tweeter. The diaphragm (ZC12939) used in this tweeter has been used in the following tweeters (black version):
  • DM600 S3
  • DM601 S3
  • DM602 S3
  • DM602.5 S3
  • DM603 S3
  • DM604 S3
  • LCR600 S3
  • LCR60 S3

Black diaphragms for the Bowers & Wilkins DM60x S3 tweeters are becoming increasingly difficult to find. For the handy DIY enthusiast, this tweeter might be the perfect solution. The diaphragm from this tweeter (ZC12939) can be used in all B&W DM60x S3 tweeters. To do this, the diaphragm is removed from this tweeter and installed in another B&W DM60x S3 tweeter. Note: Performing this operation (correctly) is at your own risk.
Steps to follow:

  • Place the tweeter securely with the magnet facing down, for example, as shown in the photo below.
  • Find the correct bit to loosen the (three) screws. Caution: a loose bit can damage the dome.
  • Loosen the (three) screws.
  • Lift the diaphragm perpendicular to the magnet, away from the magnet.
  • Then follow this guide to place the diaphragm on the other tweeter.

The ZC12939 diaphragm from the ZZ12947 can be used in all black B&W DM60x S3 tweeters.
